The Japanese have a concept called Ikigai, which translates to, Your Reason For Being.
When we created The Best Of, we wanted to be intentional about Our Why, Our Reason For Being.
Our Why? is this team to do what we’re the best in the world at, with the shared purpose of helping to fund the climate solutions that are right under our feet.

Eating is the most significant interaction most of us have with the environment. The food system contributes about half of all greenhouse gas emissions around the world.

Food and land use offer 15 of the top 25 solutions to climate change. Solving problems in our food system and converting them into benefits may be the most practical way to reverse climate change.

The Best Of, in support of Zero FoodPrint, creates world-class enchanting experiences, invoking a deep connection to the cause, and the movement driven by our collective supporters and partners. The revenue generated by the experiences support the growth of ZFP into new global markets. 


Our Mission

We place a high value on our relationship with the planet, our community and the arts. We believe that the best way to raise awareness for issues that affect us all is to align with strategic partners on a cohesive message. Our mission is to generate mass awareness for a fundamental issue, namely the increase of carbon emissions globally which has resulted in our planet changing before our eyes. Through The Best Of events, our partners, artists and chefs, we aim to create next-generation immersive experiences, while generating awareness and action toward solving humanity's greatest challenge.

The Best Of (TBO) partners with Carbonzero to measure and offset the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from our once-in-a-lifetime events. Using information collected from our host venues, partners, and event registration portal, we measure the carbon footprint of each of the experiences that we provide our guests as way to understand our footprint and track our progress.

TBO also purchases third-party verified carbon offsets from Carbonzero's portfolio of carbon offset projects to produce carbon neutral events and to take accountability for the emissions that our experiences generate.

Our partnership with Carbonzero allows us to better understand our environmental impact and work towards reducing avoidable GHG emissions from events.
